The story of Rolf Göran Bengtsson
Born in Lund, Sweden, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson developed apassion for horses at an early age. Growing up in southern Sweden, he quicklydiscovered a natural talent for show jumping and began building a careerdefined by patience, precision, and a deep understanding of his horses.
Over the years, Bengtsson steadily established himself amongthe world’s leading riders. He represented Sweden at his first Olympic Games in1996 and went on to become one of the country’s most accomplished show jumpers.His partnership with outstanding horses such as Ninja La Silla and later CasallASK brought him international recognition.
His Olympicbreakthrough came with a team silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics inAthens, followed by an individual silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics inBeijing with Ninja La Silla. In 2011, he reached one of the highlightsof his career by winning individual gold at the FEI European Show JumpingChampionship 2011 in Madrid.
Known for his consistency and horsemanship, Bengtsson hasenjoyed success across the world’s most prestigious competitions. With CasallASK, he won the overall title of the Longines Global Champions Tour 2016,further cementing his place among the sport’s elite riders.
Today, based in northern Germany where he runs his ownstable, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson remains a respected figure in international showjumping. With decades of experience and a reputation for developing exceptionalhorses, he continues to represent the values of dedication, partnership, andlongevity at the highest level of the sport.
Reflecting his story and philosophy, in 2018 he collaborated with CWD to create The One – The Sensitive bridle, a symbol of his sensitivity.
